Every day we are presented with a choice: put on some cute clothes and rule the day, or remain unchanged. To remain unchanged in a world that is constantly moving and adapting is to choose ignorance- a choice I will never make willingly. I’m Alexis, and I have created this platform to document the wild journey I call life. Every year, I believe I have discovered the “answers” to life: well, not really, but at least a few answers that I expect will make the road ahead of me as smooth as can be. Then, life throws a few potholes in the road and I start the learning process all over. I’ve learned to love the beauty that comes with madness (& trust me, my life is full of madness). I’m a twenty-one year old girl with big goals and even bigger dreams during a time where nothing feels possible. I spend my time as a full time student in the blended teaching program at Sonoma State University- yay for future Ms. Alexis!! I student teach at University Elementary La Fiesta in 1st and 5th grade, and I substitute throughout the Cotati Rohnert Park Unified School District. Aside from education, I work at a local Starbucks and drink way too much coffee in a day; I am an Alpha Delta Pi Alumni and I served as the Panhellenic President at Sonoma State University. I also served as an Executive Member of Associated Students at Sonoma State University virtually, during the pandemic. I believe in supporting women and lifting each other up, even when society tries to tell us to do other-wise. I love the process of creation, and I spend my free time trying new projects on my “DIY need to try” Pinterest board. From custom t-shirts to stickers to coolers, I create all kinds of new things and I look forward to growing my inventive inner self as much as possible.
